Even though we
don’t get on
so great
anymore,
               if we meet
by chance
in five years or so
by all means
let’s say hey and shake hands
kiss cheeks,
               let’s say
cathartic things about
the past over
airport coffee or sitting next
to each other on the train.
               Let’s (maybe)
sleep together again, for
the novelty of nostalgia
revive in-jokes
for a night
and then in the morning,
              part ways
over coffee at a busstop
or waiting for a taxi and
promise that if, in five years
we meet by chance
to say hey and shake hands.
